Grave yard beach, Aberdovey

The Grave yard beach is 1 mile north of Aberdovey, towards Tywyn. This break is quite often a "Hossegor" style beach break.

Information
Park at the top and cross the golf course for access. There is approximately 3 miles of quiet beach. Grave Yards picks up any swell that's out there, and works best in an Easterly. It works best from mid to high tide and back to mid again, low tide can be very hollow and good if the swell is big enough.

It's probably too long a walk with wind surfing kit, (about 5 minutes), but perfect for all other beach sports. The beach is mainly unused, except for summer holiday periods, making it a perfect kiting location. Plenty of accommodation in near by Aberdovey. Watch out for rips at the southern end, towards the mouth of the estuary. The southern end also has a low tide lagoon, ideal for kite surfing, which is suitable in virtually any wind direction.
